From the minute we started communication with Sandy we felt absolutely welcomed! Sandy and her husband Rod were happy to answer every question we had and their love for the Gastein valley made our stay so unique and we were always learning something new! Their house is amazing (and huge) and so close to everything. They made us feel right at home and were so accommodating in every way. The room we stayed in was extremely homely and comfortable! Beautiful big bed, and great view of the winter wonderland outside! Their dog, Mischief, was amazing and he brought so much excitement to our stay! We wanted to take him with us. There are so many things to do in the valleys. We were only going to stay for 4 days and ended up staying for 11 days! So many different activities to do, from the hot thermal spas to the the 140m suspension bridge, you will always have something to do to entertain yourself. The only way to experience everything in and around Bad Gastein is to stay at Sandy and Rod's beautiful home! Looking forward to seeing it in the summer!

My host Sandy Tilke was amazing! I was so welcomed and felt at home right away. Her knowledge of the area and in tune with the locals made it an awesome experience! Mischief, their dog is also a barrel of fun. Sandy took me around to see quite a few local bands and traditional dancing. So handy to have someone with you that can speak the local language also. The house is very comfortable, clean and homely. Not to mention the awesome views all around of the Bad Gastein Valley. I am definitely going back for the ski season at some stage as one of the locals and Sandy's neighbour, Michael was a ski instructor and the slopes are so handy. There are beautiful local restaurants within walking distance if required, or any number of beautiful places in Bad Gastein. If you are thinking of staying anywhere in the valley then this is the place!

Bad Gastein is stunningly beautiful. It is among the most friendly and hospitable places I have ever visited, with something for everyone. Rod and Sandy were very friendly and helpful as our hosts.

Couldn't have asked for more. We booked 3 rooms for 6 people for a week, and everything was perfect from day one! We were treated like family and felt like home the whole week. Very nice and clean rooms/baths. The large and fully equipped kitchen made everything easier as well. Thank you for an awesome week :-)

I have just had a wonderful few days staying at Sandy's lovely home in Bockstein, Bad Gastein, Austria. She was the perfect host from arranging pick up from Salzburg Airport to some interesting visits. Gasteiner Heilstollen right inside the mountain for some radon health therapy to relaxing in the Bad Gastein Spa for the day to tobogganing 2.2km down the mountainside. I could not have asked for a better host. My room was well equipped, with a lovely tea tray, my bed was comfortable and all the facilities were spotlessly clean, I really could not have asked for more.

Thanks to Sandy, Rod and Mischief we all had a lovely week skiing, in a fantastic location and amazing accommodation. We all had a pretty fun-filled week considering we haven't been skiing in years! My only regret is not being able to stay longer. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for all your help with everything. We had an amazing time! The skiing was amazing - especially the last couple of days! The weather was great on the first and the last few days, so we had a great start and end to the week. Especially recommend the long run down to Bad Hofgastein.
