The Gastein Valley (Gasteinertal) is part of the Ski Amade area,​ which offers a total of 860 kms of perfectly groomed piste spread over five regions and 25 resorts - all covered on just one lift pass.
 

​There are six main ski areas: Stubnerkogel Bad Gastein,  Sportgastein, Graukogel, Schlossalm Bad Hofgastein, Angertal Ski Centre and Dorfgastein which are linked by a free ski bus included with your lift pass.
With a total of 220 kms of pistes and 50 ski lifts, as well as skiing up to 2686m, you are assured of the very best conditions.

Cross Country Skiing

 

With the nearest cross country course being just a five minute walk from the house in Böckstein, there are no excuses not to get out for some fresh air and healthy exercise. It's also floodlight in the evening. 

 

There are a total of 45kms of cross country courses in the Gastein Valley, including the spectacular course around Sportgastein, where you can work up a sweat surrounded by glorious scenery, whilst spotting the Olympic stars of the present as well as the future.

Other Activities

 

For those wanting to escape the slopes and enjoy a more leisurely pace of life, there are plenty of other activities on offer. Hiking through snow covered valleys, romantic horse drawn sleigh rides, tobogganing, ice skating, snow shoe trekking, or simply relaxing in the thermal baths.
