The choice is yours!

Hiking

The Gastein Valley (Gasteinertal) offers over 350km of marked low level and high level trails, so there is something to suit every fitness level!

There are a total of six lifts operating through the summer period so why not head high and take in some amazing scenery, or visit the 140m suspension bridge at the Stubnerkogel!

We can offer guided walking tours with an experienced mountain guide.

Biking

Whether you enjoy mountain biking, valley cycling or E-biking there is something for everyone here in the Gasteinertal.

Bikes are transported free of charge on the lifts, so there is no need for hours of uphill cycling!

Golf

The golf course in Bad Bruck is around ten minutes by car from our house.

Founded in 1960, this 18 hole course is one of the oldest and most traditional to be found in Austria.

Thermal Spas

The Gasteinertal has been famous for hundreds of years for its thermal waters. Every day, approximately 5 million litres of hot water rise from 16 springs inside the mountains and are now used in numerous thermal spas throughout the valley. A visit to Alpentherme in Bad Hofgastein or Felsentherme in Bad Gastein is a must! The Heilstollen in Bad Gastein is renowned for its radon health treatments taken deep inside the mountains.

Hohe Tauern National Park

This was Austria's first National Park and is the largest nature reserve in Central Europe, covering an area of approx 1834km2. The National Park has 266 mountains over 3000m which includes the famous Großglockner at 3798m, Austria's highest mountain.
The High Alpine Road and glacier view point are not to be missed!
